The “no beach… beach club” of Jungle Fish is designed with two levels.

The second level has a restaurant perfect for enjoying a sunny lunch with a magnificent view of the pool deck and jungle below.

Grab an afternoon bite at the restaurant while enjoying the scenery, or choose to enjoy your food and drinks on the first level pool deck (which is exactly what we did!).

It may not be one of these overwater bungalows in Asia, but with sun loungers, hanging beds, caves and cabanas, and poolside tables, there’s tons of options for your style of pool-side relaxation.

When we first arrived to Jungle Fish, we were starving!

We had just been driven from Munduk to Bedegul, and then from Bedegul to Ubud—the journey took hours, and we hadn’t had a bite to eat all day.

After spreading out comfortably across our sun loungers by the jungle infinity pool, we were helped right away and were able to order right from our magnificent poolside spot.

We started with a Mezze Platter to share—a heavenly assortment of mini pita, fried calamari, grilled prawn, tzatziki-topped lamb, and creamy beetroot feta topped with falafel.

Unique from most food we found in Bali, the Mediterranean flavors and fresh ingredients of the Mezze Platter were a superb way to appease our appetites while enjoying the view of the lush jungle.

Next, we feasted on a Mexican Burger (with guacamole, jalapenos, sour cream, and salsa) and a Smoked Salmon Panini (with sour cream, capers, dill, and arugula/rocket on ciabatta—yum!).

Both dishes were positively divine with bold, bright flavors and came with fries. And I must say, they’re some of the best fries we’ve had in a long time!

After our dishes, we were left satisfied and pleasantly full, but one more thing caught our eye that we just had to indulge in—the Jungle Bowl.

The incredibly refreshing Jungle Bowl is a dragonfruit smoothie bowl topped with yogurt, mango, coconut flakes, quinoa, strawberry, granola, and mint, and it was hands down the best smoothie bowl I’ve had in my life.

Yes, it was SO much better than Nalu Bowls and about the same price (or cheaper!).

Light and fruity, with just the right dose of sweetness and texture, the Jungle Bowl was the perfect way to end the meal and cool off in the heat.

The food at Jungle Fish Bali was fresh with a wide range of flavor profiles. And what’s even better? Many of the fresh ingredients are organic and come right from the resort’s gardens.

With burgers, salads, wraps, pizzas, pastas, and Indonesian dishes, Jungle Fish offers tons of options for whatever kind of exquisitely yummy tastes you’re craving that day.

With an expansive cocktail menu of daiquiris, mojitos, frozen drinks, iced drinks, fizzy drinks, or your good ol’ classics, the bar has anything you want to kick back and relax on a sunny day by the jungle infinity pool.

I grabbed a frozen mango and mint spiced daiquiri myself and was smitten with its perfect trifecta of flavors, from the sweet mango to the bold mint and the final spicy kick that added that lovely extra little surprise.

Plenty of Non-Alcoholic Drinks

If you’re not looking for alcohol—Jungle Fish has got you covered!

The non-alcoholic drink menu is also quite developed and equally exciting, with everything from healthy detox juices, to tasty smoothies, milkshakes, teas, coffee and coffee drinks, and granitas.

We grabbed a scrumptious mango smoothie and dragonfruit smoothie for ourselves!
